The mark consists of the words "PICAYUNE RANCHERIA OF THE CHUKCHANSI INDIANS" and "COARSEGOLD, CALIFORNIA" arranged proximate the inside of a circle, with the first phrase at the top of the circle and the second at the bottom. There is a dark outline the interior and exterior boundaries of the circle. In the center of the circle, there is a generally circular background. At the top left of the background there is the word "Hil-le". In the center right of the circle there is a sunburst shape with sixteen points outlined in a white line. The center of the sunburst is darker than the rest and has a lighter dot in the very middle that is surrounded by a lighter gradient. The center of the sunburst is surrounded by sixteen small rhombuses configured in a circle. The middle of the circular background depicts a woven basket with its opening pointing to the right, with five stylized designs depicting five-pointed, leaf-like figures that each contain two triangles, a trapezoid, and a bar. The inside of the basket is lighter in color, and there is a curve-shaped darker gradient on a portion of the outside of the basket. To the right of the basket is a stick that curves and tapers towards the right. At the point where the stick curves, there are attached by their quills two feathers with dark points, and a string with dangling ends. At the bottom of the stick to the left of the basket, there are four stems, two pointing up and two pointing down.
