Affixed to left is a circle with a yellow center, outlined by a thick red border. The red border is outlined with two thin black lines circling around the inside and outside of the mark . Between thin black circling lines is filled with the color red. In the upper area of there two small black octagon shapes, one positioned before the words "DESCENDANTS OF" which is curved downward, and one afterwards. On the bottom, the words "THE ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY ENSLAVED" in black font, is curved upwards to meet the black octogons. The middle of the mark has a mustard yellow background with graphic image of a brown man outlined in black with black shading throughout, wearing a green shirt and black bottoms. He is facing upwards with both arms extended upward and is he is holding a baby wrapped in a taupe blanket. The baby has a brown face and is outlined in black. Next to the man is a brown woman. The woman is forward facing with a red scarf wrapped on her head. She is wearing a light taupe-colored dress, and outlined in black with black features. The bottom stabilizer for both the man and woman is the color black. Behind the man, woman and child, is a graphic representation of the Saint Louis Arch. The arch is the color gray white space outline with gray. On the upper right of the Arch is a black North Star graphic. The color white appearing outside of the circle design represents transparent background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark. This mark can be displayed with the circle logo on top and the acronym DSLUE under it, and DESCENDANTS OF THE ST. LOUIS UNIVERSITY ESLAVED under the acronym.
