The mark consists of the image features the title in all uppercase letters bold block black letters at top arranged in an arched pattern with the words OPERATION IRON RUCK and they are shadowed in olive drab green brown. Below the title are two prominent collegiate logos. The University of Alabama stylized A on the left and Auburn University interlocking AU on the right. The left side of logo is a white capital A which is the logo for the University of Alabama outlined in olive drab green brown with the black registered R logo at bottom right. On opposite right side is capitalized AU in olive drab green brown and outlined in white and olive drab green brown which is the logo for Auburn University with the black registered R logo at bottom right. Centered between both school logos contains a silhouette of what is known as the Battlefield Cross in black and white shadowed color. The Battlefield Cross is a symbolic representation honoring a fallen military service member. It consists of a rifle planted vertically with its barrel down a helmet placed on top of the rifles stock boots positioned at the base of the rifle and dog tags hanging from the rifle. Behind all of this is an olive drab green brown shield type design. Below this contains a black ribbon type banner outlined in white and then black and white again and contains all uppercase letters ROAD TO THE IRON BOWL in white with the black registered R logo at bottom right. The overall design has a distressed and grunge style appearance giving the image a rugged and worn look.
