The mark consists of a hexagonal border having one of its vertices aligned at the top center of the mark with a horizontal banner bearing the literal elements NYK extending across a center of the hexagon and a chicken popping up from behind the horizontal banner with a wing leaning on top of the horizontal banner with a thumbs up. The chicken's comb extends beyond a portion of a left top side of the hexagonal border. The literal elements Krispy Fried Chicken appear vertically stacked and centered within the hexagonal border and beneath the horizontal banner and three stars appear centered below these literal elements and aligned with the lower vertex and outline of the hexagonal border. On each side of the chicken and within the hexagonal border a line extends vertically upward from the horizontal banner and is bent at a vertex of the horizontal banner to follow the outline of the hexagonal border and points to a star on each side of the chicken.
