The mark consists of the logo has a rectangular shape, with the short side at the bottom and the entire rectangle colored black. The upper half of the rectangle depicting a white square with a black sketch of a galloping horse. The horse is turned to the left and shown from the side. The image of the horse is slightly shifted towards the top of the square and part of the horse's head and tail is depicted in white outside the white square. There is a horizontal scribble line under the horse's legs. Directly below the square is straight lettering in bold italics with the word DerbY, with the first and last letters capitalized and written in a large letter case. The bottom half on the rectangle has an empty space roughly the size of the word Derby, followed by the curved, semi-circle, rainbow-like shaped text FUER DEINE LEIDENSCHAFT in capital letters with stars embedded to the left and right of the text and below that another straight lettering with two hyphens, which reads -seit 1968- in lower case letters. The letter case is approximately three times smaller, then the Derby letter case.
