The mark consists of the letter M created by a folded stethoscope. In this design the stethoscope ear pieces/ear tubes comprise the two outside segments of the letter M as well as horizontal base segments of the M, reminiscent of legs/feet. The stethoscope chest piece is folded down and between the outer M segments to create the inner two M segments. The stethoscope diaphragm is suspended from the inner M section and shows radiating lines to indicate light and sound.
