The mark consists of a stylized drawing of a traditional Japanese gate, or a Torii which is most commonly found at the entrance to, or within, a Shinto shrine. In the foreground of the gate is a stylized drawing of a group of seven shitake mushroom caps, the stems of several of which are visible, with the remainder being hidden behind the caps. Appearing on the left and right sides of the stylized drawing are characters which, though reminiscent of Japanese or Chinese language characters, are not actual characters in any language. Rather these characters are nonsensical and without meaning. Appearing directly below this stylized drawing is the word SHINTO, directly beneath which appears the word, SHROOMS, each word being spelled in all capital letters . The former word is presented in a font approximately twice as large as is the font of the later word. The word SHROOMS is set between horizontal vertical lines running nearly to the edge of the word SHINTO. The mark's display of shiitake mushrooms symbolizes the owner's offering for sale in commerce of log grown shiitake mushrooms, log grown woodland mushrooms, cultivated shiitake mushrooms, Lion's Mane mushrooms, and log grown Lion's Mane mushrooms.
