I work with a local "no kill" animal shelter. I provide a location for people to drop off donations for the animals we serve, as well as providing other "middleman" support services that effectively bridge the gap between the local community and the shelter. I help to provide easy access to the shelter and the various services and resources that the shelter can provide for the community. The shelter and I work mostly with "neighborhood" cats - cats who have no home - "The Kittery Cattery" provides a localized outreach center for identifying homeless cats in the area and support for the efforts of the shelter by serving as a way station from the local community to the shelter. I provide accommodations for cats who have been trapped by volunteers until they can be processed further by the shelter, e.g., sent to veterinarian, offered up for adoption, etc
