The mark consists of a combination of the elements of modern electronic schematic symbols for a triode vacuum tube and a field effect transistor, representing the symbiotic use of both vacuum tubes and transistors (solid state devices) in the product designs. The word "Moscode" takes the place of the symbol for a vacuum tube "grid" (three dashes) of the triode sandwiched between the lower triode element, the "cathode", and the upper element, the "plate". Below the cathode is an arrow common to transistor symbols and is placed on another element of a symbol for a metal oxide silicon field effect transistor. The trademark is meant to represent the use of any type of vacuum tube with any type of solid state device used in the design of electronic equipment primarily but not exclusively meant for the audio use. This is known in electronics as a hybrid design.
