The mark consists of two concentric hexagons with rounded corners, with the inner hexagon in a lighter shade. The two lines forming the outer hexagon intersect at the top, with a small diamond interposed in the resulting negative space. An outlined map of Afghanistan is carved out of the hexagons. Below the hexagons appears the Farsi characters for the word translated as "pomegranate". Below all of the above components appears an ovular shadow.
