This is a device meant for firefighters to use on their self contained breather apparatus. It attaches to an emergency breathing tube called a "Buddy Breather" or "UBSS". The RIPcord clips on the outside pocket is reflective and glows in the dark. There is a uniquely shaped pyramid knob made out of glow-in-the-dark resin that is meant to be felt and grabbed with a gloved hand to deploy the Buddy Breather. A glow in the dark rope is attached to the end of the Buddy Breather to fully pull the Buddy Breather out of its pouch. The "RIP" in "RIPcord" stands for "Rescue In Progress" as this is a firefighter life saving device
