Goods, consisting of personal emergency response systems (often referred to as "PERS devices"), and related services where such goods and services are used to provide individuals various forms of medical alert (or medical alarm) monitoring services (collectively, the PERS Services"). The goods fall into two categories: (i) stationary base units (each, a "Unit") for use in an individual's home premises, where the Unit may incorporate one or more electronic devices such as a motion detector, location detector, fall detection device, medication reminder, a pendant that incorporates an emergency call button or some other type of emergency communications device (in each instance consisting of both stationary and wearable electronic devices) (collectively, the "Peripherals") that (a) collect and transmit data to third-parties and (b) enable the individual to use the Unit and Peripherals to communicate with a remote monitoring facility via digital communications (i.e., a "signal") and voice communications via some form of landline, cellular communications, radio frequency and/or the Internet to obtain the PERS Services; and (ii) mobile communications units and related applications (collectively, the "mPERS Units") (some of which are wearable) for use in and out of an individual's home premises that enable an individuals to obtain the PERS Services via digital communications (i.e., a "signal") and voice communications where the signal or voice communications is transmitted to a third party via some form of cellular communications, radio frequency and/or the Internet
