The mark consists of an incomplete circular border, broken at the top and bottom, the two segments being mirror images of each other. Each segment tapers at the top and broadens at the bottom resembling a scimitar. Enclosed within this border is a silhouette of a standing Golden Retriever with its tail erect, facing to the right. A starburst of ribbon shapes and small stars emanate and spread outward from behind the silhouette to the border. The small capital letters "GRCA" are centered within the break at the top of the circular border. Below "GRCA" and enclosed within the border are the words "Top 20"in a different and larger stylized cursive typeface. Below "Top 20," in the same typeface but a smaller-sized font is the word "Invitational," the initial letter capitalized.
