HelioHome will start out as an online marketplace where existing and potential homeowners will be shown a curated selection of green smart home technologies, services, and information recommended for their specific residence zip code and housing type. Once they have a good understanding of what products they might like to install in their homes, they can order everything in a bundle to be delivered and installed by a certified HelioHome installer. Any existing home that demonstrates a substantial improvement in energy performance will then be classified as a HelioHome and its home owners will join a community of energy-efficient HelioHome owners. If a client is interested in designing a totally new green smart home, we will direct them to HelioHome Studio, an architecture and engineering design group that focuses on the implementation of green smart home technology. One proprietary technology in development currently, the idea that sparked HelioHome to begin with, is the HelioHome Shading System, a parametrically-modeled, static, solar louvre system that controls the amount of irradiance hitting the home at any given point, lessening the need for mechanical air conditioning indoors
