Quarter is a technology platform that directly connects "consumers" (those needing to buy a home or re-finance a home they live in) and "network investors" (those desiring to co-own equity in those homes and provide funding for it). The Quarter network provides fractional ownership shares of the home equity and enables consumers to access home capital as an alternative to traditional mortgage loans. For investors, Quarter will provide fractional equity investment class that consists of both rental income and pro-rata sharing of gains/losses when the home is sold. It is a "two-sided" network that cuts out the traditional middle-men in mortgage financing. This enables consumers to get home financing much cheaper, faster, and with none of the same regulations that burden the highly regulated mortgage lending industry
