The mark consists of the term "MILESPERHR" underneath an arching line that traces the shape of a vehicle's tachometer over the "MILESPE" and the tachometer line transitions from a solid, narrower line to a wider, broken line. There are four breaks in the tachometer line, ending just above the "PE" and just above the letter "L" is the base of a needle which points at the transition of the tachometer line from a solid line to a broken line. At the leading edge of the letter "M" between the arching tachometer line and the "M", is the start of an accent line that parallels the arch of the tachometer line and ends before the point of the tachometer needle.
