The mark consists of a yellow rope forming an outer circle a blue ring inside the rope with the wording UNITED STATES NAVY in the color white on the top portion of the ring and the words MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND in white on the bottom portion of the ring; a yellow ring inside the blue ring. Within the yellow ring an eagle with brown wings and feathers, yellow feet, black talons, white face, and a yellow beak with a shield in front holding an anchor; the shield is bordered in yellow with a blue field at its top portion with two white stars and alternating red and white vertical stripes below; weaved around the anchor is a banner that is blue in front and red in back and has the wording UNITED WE SAIL in white; behind the eagle is a blue globe with yellow longitude and latitude lines; above the globe is the black darkness of space with a single yellow star.
