The mark consists of a rectangle divided equally by a horizontal line in which the upper part is a solid shade and the lower part contains a schematic display of diagram/circuit lines joined through shaded and unshaded triangular, rectangular or circular shapes. On the left side of rectangle is superimposed a band of five vertically arranged flag bands/bars representing the countries of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States in which a band containing of one small five-pointed star and four larger seven-pointed stars is placed next to a band containing of a maple leaf, followed by a band consisting of four five-pointed stars, followed by a band containing three fimbriated rectangles next to a band consisting of eight five-pointed stars and four stars split in half by the right edge of the band. On the right side of the rectangle is a pentagon containing the wording "5RD" superimposed over the shaded and schematic diagram.
