The certification mark, as intended to be used by authorized persons, is intended to certify that the user: 1. is a firm in good standing with the certifier; 2. has employed a registrant or technician who has satisfied the standards of education, training and experience established by the certifier in one or more of the following areas: inspection, cleaning, repair, restoration relating to water, fire and smoke damage restoration, structural drying, mold and microbial remediation, odor control, carpet repair and reinstallation, carpet color repair, and crime scene clean-up; inspection, cleaning, repair and restoration of flooring, marble, stone, upholstery, fabrics and textiles, floor coverings, hard surfaces, substrates and subfloors, personal property, fixtures, buildings and structures; health and safety in the performance of the foregoing. 3. has employed a registrant or technician who is qualified through education, training and experience in the health and safety procedures in the performance of the above services; and has qualified as one or more of the categories of certified technicians of the "Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification" ("IICRC").
