The center of the mark consists of an outline of a law enforcement badge; about half way down the badge there is a horizontal stripe, with waves on top, running from left to right inside of the badge; a vertical sea kayak inside of and in the middle of the badge extends from the top to the bottom of the inside of the badge; the kayak has four holes along with a design of a seat in the center and two triangular-shaped patterns on either side of the seat; a kayak paddle inside of the badge and running above and thru the horizontal stripe starts at the bottom left of the badge, runs to the top right of the badge, and is separated in the middle by the kayak; the wording "Operation Deep Blue" is curved around the top outside of the badge and the wording "The Expedition To Honor Our Fallen" is curved around the bottom outside of the badge.
