A greyhound dog is standing to the man's right with its rear and two hind legs close to the man's right leg, its tail down and curving away from the man and its torso and two fore legs in a straight line facing away from the man. The dog's head is turned around so that it is pointed back over its body and facing the man. The dog's face is tilted upward as if looking at the man's face. Both man and dog are in silhouette and are standing upon a rectangular box in which the words "GREYHOUNDS IN GETTYSBURG" appear in standard characters.
