The mark consists of an image of the spines of three books in a row with a yellow flame above the middle book; the first book spine is pink with a thick black stripe near the top of the book with thin green stripes at the top and bottom of the black stripe; the second book spine is black with a large blue stripe and a small green box at the upper part of the blue stripe; the third book spine is orange with a small pink box near the top and two narrow green stripes slightly below center; underneath the row of books in blue lettering is the word "BIRTHDAY" with "BIRTH" in upper case letters and "DAY" in lower case letters followed by the word "BOOKS" in blue lettering with the "B" in upper case and "OOKS" in lower case; below the word "BOOKS" in very small black font right aligned is the wording "A PROGRAM OF HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION" with "A PROGRAM OF" in lower case letters and "HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION" in uppercase letters, and the stylized letters "HH" in white with green border between the words "OF" and "HUNTSVILLE".
