Description of Mark
The mark consists of the words "Air", "Traffic", and "Controller" in uppercase and stacked vertically; the first letter of each word aligned left to a common margin such that the first letter of each word, when read vertically from top to bottom, forms the acronym "ATC". The words "Air Traffic Controller", formatted as described above, are centered within a circle designed to look like an air traffic control radar screen that includes the following depictions using lines, circles and arcs: an airport air traffic control tower protruding out of the top left of the outermost circle, radar azimuth (compass) markers around the inner edges of the outermost circle, a centered vertical line with horizontal radar mile markers evenly spaced on both sides, a radar sweep in the bottom left being followed by a series of long and short concentric circles mimicking a radar sweep with distance range rings, and the silhouette of a jet aircraft in the top right flying eastbound (to the right). The entire logo is designed to look like a radar screen incorporating symbols of the three different facility types within air traffic control: The tower, approach control (or TRACON), and enroute.
