The mark consists of the letters "AL" and a design of three interlocking cogs. The right-most cog comprises two concentric circles, the outer circle having eight protruding lobes. The center cog comprises a circle with six protruding lobes. The left-most cog comprises a circle having ten protruding lobes, a vertical spoke along its diameter, and a horizontal spoke along its left radius. The third cog is overlaid with the letters "AL", offset slightly above and to the left. The letters "AL" are conjoined such that right leg of the "A" forms the vertical portion of the "L". The left leg of the "A" is styled in a semi-circle that mirrors the upper left quadrant of the third cog design, and has four protruding lobes. The horizontal portion of the "L" is similarly styled in a semi-circle that mirrors the bottom right quadrant of the third cog design, and has three protruding lobes.
