The mark consists of a circular design made up of a black center with a series of concentric circles surrounding it. From the black center and extending outward, the concentric circles are gray, black, blue, red, blue, black, gray, black, gold, gray, and gold. Inside the black center is a gold ribbon with "911" superimposed thereon. "911" is white with red outlines. In the innermost gray section is the stylized red wording "COMMITTED TO SERVE". In the center-most gray section is the stylized black wording "BARREN-METCALFE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER" and two gold stars. The design of two wings appears at the bottom of the innermost gray section and extends out into the red and blue sections. The wings are a mixture of yellow and gray. The remainder of the white in the drawing represents background areas only and is not part of the mark.
