The mark consists of a white shield design with the black letters "A", "I" and "R" in the upper left, upper right and bottom parts of the shield respectively. A red and black starburst design appears in the middle of the shield and a white eagle head with a yellow beak appears above it, sitting atop a thin rectangular design having the sequential colors from left to right of red, white, blue, red, white, blue. All the foregoing elements are outlined in black. At the bottom of the shield is a blue banner outlined in black with the white words "AMERICANS FOR INTELLIGENCE REFORM". The color white appearing outside of the eagle, rectangular pattern, shield design, and banner represents transparent background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
