Inside of the large white square, there is a smaller white square. The interiors of each of the white squares is filled in with dark blue and light blue from the background. Inside of the smaller white square, there are three white stars in a single row. Underneath the three white stars, there is a white rectangle containing the word "METRO" in blue capital letters. The blue colors in the word "METRO" are provided by the dark blue and light blue background. Underneath the white rectangle containing the word "METRO" in blue capital letters, there is another white rectangle containing the word "TODAY" in blue capital letters. The blue colors in the word "TODAY" are provided by the dark blue and light blue background. Underneath the large white square containing the smaller white square that contains the three white stars and the two white rectangles containing the words "METRO" and "TODAY" in blue capital letters, there is a dark blue and light blue skyline. The skyline contains silhouettes of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Washington Monument, the U.S. Capitol Building, and the White House. The entire skyline is dark blue except that the silhouette of the Washington Monument also contains light blue.
