The mark consists of the words "THE TOWN OF" in all capital letters and the word "HIGHLANDS" in all capital letters below "THE TOWN OF", all flush left. The font for the word "HIGHLANDS" is double the height as the font for the words "THE TOWN OF". The color of the words is olive green. Above the "NDS" in "HIGHLANDS" appears a circle with an abstract silhouette of an evergreen tree, centered, in the same shade of olive green as the words "THE TOWN OF HIGHLANDS". The circle is rimmed in a medium shade of brown, and is filled in with a lighter shade of olive green than the tree or words. The circle is three times the height of the word "HIGHLANDS".
