Radio frequency identification (RFID) tags; radio frequency identification (RFID) tag readers; buried utility locators, namely, portable electronic devices for receiving magnetic field signals and determining information about hidden or buried pipes, cables, or conduits and receiving RFID tag information based on the received magnetic field signals and RFID tag signals; electronic transmitters for generating current signals that couple with hidden or buried pipes, cables, or conduits, and also to generate magnetic fields for detection by buried utility locators, including RFID tags or RFID tag readers coupled or integrated therewith; electronic coupling devices incorporating RFID tags for use in coupling current signals received from transmitters with buried pipes, cables, or conduits; electronic probes in the nature of sondes used for generating magnetic field signals for sensing by electronic buried utility locator devices; video inspection systems consisting primarily of camera heads, push-cables, push-cable reels, RFID tags, and camera control units for controlling the camera heads and displaying and storing captured video, images, or data; software for generating mapping information associated with hidden or buried utilities; software for processing images or video based on information provided from RFID tags; software for generating maps showing pipe location or pipe inspection information including information provided from RFID tags
