The mark consists of a shape having four hexagons nested inside a fifth hexagon on the outside, each of the four hexagons slightly smaller than the hexagon to its immediate outside and each having variable width, and the first, smallest, and most stylized hexagon creates a diamond shaped center containing nine dots, a single dot in the middle is surrounded by eight equally spaced dots of the same size, with "MD" superimposed and framed by the first, smallest, and most stylized hexagon, a rectangle positioned to the right of the nested hexagons, with a small gap between the fifth hexagon and the rectangle, with the word "CERTIFIED" stylized and centered inside the rectangle, two lines running the length of the rectangle above and below the rectangle and having the work "PHYSICIAN" written above the rectangle with a short line to either side of the work "PHYSICIAN".
