The mark consists of a brown steering wheel with 3 silver radial bars, each of which has circular holes defined therein. On top of the center of the steering wheel, there is a green highway sign outlined in white with a white number 1 in the center of the sign. The green capitalized words "CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY" are arched from left to right over the top of the steering wheel and the green capitalized words "DISCOVERY ROUTE" are arched from left to right over the bottom of the steering wheel and the words are on a white background. Behind the steering wheel, a coastal scene is presented depicting brown hills with hues of black and grey in them bordering the right of the steering wheel's interior, a tan beach with hues of gray in it is just below the brown hills and a blue ocean with hues of white in it borders the left interior of the steering wheel, all under a blue sky with white clouds. All of the elements mentioned before are all within a circle outlined in green, all other white depicted outside the green outline of the outermost circle is background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
