The mark consists of three components that include a design component on the top, a stylized name component under the design component, and a stylized line of text located under the stylized name component. The design component consists of a skyline consisting of, from left to right, a bush, seven buildings of multiple heights and designs, and a bush placed on a symmetrical arc that spans from the left border of the mark to the right border of the mark. Immediately below the design component the word "ILLINOIS" is centered in large capital letters, and stylized to arc parallel to the design component. Below that, the words "MUNICIPAL LEAGUE" are centered in large capital letters, and stylized to arc parallel to the words above and are placed within a text box with rounded ends that arcs parallel to the design component. Below that, the words and symbols "EDUCATE. ADVOCATE. EMPOWER." are centered in smaller stylized capital letters.
