The mark consists of the left side view of a red, white and brown fireman's hat superimposed on two red, white and brown fireman's axes whose handles cross each other forming an "x" and which axes are superimposed over a black circle which is outlined in brown. Black "fins" extend from the circle at the top, bottom, left and right sides. The "fins" are outlined in brown with a black edge. The "fin" at the top contains the letters "E","S","T". in white, and the "fin" at the bottom contains the numbers "2014" in white. This design is surrounded by a black circular line. Surrounding the black circular line is a bigger, thicker, black circular line. Between the black circular lines is a border of white upon which black letters read "GLENDALE FIRE" above the design, and "FOUNDATION" below the design.
