The mark consists of concentric circles, a thin brown circle to the outside of a thicker brown circle with notches in white at the 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions and the word "SPORTSMEN" in white at the top of the circle. The two brown circles are separated by a thin white circle, and inside the thick brown circle is a white circle, in which the wording "FOR THE BOUNDARY WATERS" appears, with the "FOR" in orange and the "BOUNDARY WATERS" in brown. The wording "THE" is superimposed in white over the image of an orange boat, and the script font is orange outside the parameters of the boat, representing the surface of the water. The orange boat is outlined in brown at the top, shaded brown on the inside, and has a white bar across the top. The handles of two orange oars emerge from the top of the boat. Forming an "X" shape in the background of the circular design are the images of an orange fishing rod and an orange shotgun. The white in the background of the mark represents background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
