The mark consists of two concentric circles; the inner circle is navy blue, the outer circle is yellow with navy blue outline on the outer edge. In the center of the navy blue circle is an image of an automobile license plate. The license plate is a yellow, rectangular shape with navy blue outlines of its features, such as the four openings used to attach a plate to the automobile and the thin outline of the frame of the plate. Inside of the license plate is the acronym "A.L.P.C.A.". The letters are outlined in navy blue, three dimensional and capitalized. The front faces of the letters and the periods are shaded in in navy blue and the other faces are hollow, showing the yellow background of the license plate. Above the image of the license plate is the phrase "MEMBER", in yellow, capitalized letters. Below the license plate is the phrase "FOUNDED 1954" also in yellow, capitalized letters with the year below the word. Inside the top half of the yellow shaded circle is the phrase "AUTOMOBILE LICENSE PLATE" in navy blue, capital letters, oriented in a semi-circular manner. On the lower half of the yellow shaded circle is the phrase "COLLECTORS ASSN." also in navy blue, capital letters, also oriented in a semi-circular manner.
