The mark consists of a circle with the words "MAESE MIGUEL" and "MANCHEGO" written in white around the circumference with background in black. Within the circle and in its upper part, with red background, is "MANCHEGO D.O. CHEESE" in white. There is a representation of a mill also in white between the wording "D.O". and "CHEESE". In the center of the circle it is a portrait of a man in old-fashioned dress, with light pink skin, black hair and eyes, a grey beard and mustache, and a white frilly collar, all set over a black background. Below the portrait it is written in white in fancy letters "MAESE MIGUEL", and below "NATURALLY AGED 6 MONTHS" in green with a white outline. At the right side of the portrait it is a circle with the exterior and the center in deep pink with lines and stars around the circle. The circumference between the center and the exterior is yellow. Below the circle is a map of Spain and Portugal in pale green with white outlines with the wording "LA MANCHA" written in black with the central part in deep pink. The lower part of the circle with a green background has the wording "ORIGINAL" in white capital letters over a red label with an upper and a lower line in light pink.
