The certification mark, as used or intended to be used by persons authorized by the certifier, certifies or is intended to certify that the services have been provided by a mental health professional who must; 1) possess a graduate degree in a mental health field from an institution recognized by the certifier; 2) be a registered member in good standing of at least one mental health related professional association or regulatory body that provides third-party accountability to a code of ethics and standards of practice; 3) complete an application form regarding these qualifications, including references from others holding certification in professional regulatory bodies recognized by the certifier; 4) complete at least the first (level one) training course offered by the certifier; 5) complete an online examination to demonstrate minimum levels of competency in practical application of psychological and ethical concepts, including the skills taught in the courses provided by the certifier; 6) and comply with the terms and conditions of the license agreement with the certifier.
