The mark consists of two wooden planks painted grey with a red x, or crossed out symbol. In the middle of the x symbol is a white outline of the map of Alabama with a white x symbol inside. The x symbol in the map has a cotton ball right in the center. The cotton ball is outlined in white and has a white stem but it is hollow inside, showing the red of the first x sign. Above the map outline is the phrase OLD STATE PRIDE in white lettering, and underneath the map is the phrase SINCE 1819 also in white lettering.
