The mark consists of the stylized, brown wording "APPALACHIAN CHOCOLATE CO." "HANDCRAFTED IN SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV" and "BEAN to BAR" as well as the depiction of a series of four rectangles located between two sets of three vertical bands, all of which appear on a jute canvas wrapper. The four rectangles appear in two different sizes and are vertically stacked such that the top and bottom rectangles are complete and thinner than the two incomplete and wider middle rectangles. In the broken area of the two incomplete middle rectangles is the wording "APPALACHIAN" which appears above the wording "CHOCOLATE CO.". Below the depiction of the four stacked rectangles is the wording "HANDCRAFTED IN SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV". On either side of the stacked rectangles are three vertical bands, the innermost one of which is wider than the other two. The innermost band closest to the four stacked rectangles is widest and depicted in the color yellow. The middle band is depicted in the color blue. The outer band is depicted in the color red. The color of the jute canvas wrapper is tan. The color of the four stacked rectangles is brown. To the left of left-hand series of vertical bands appears the vertically-arranged, brown wording "BEAN to BAR".
