The mark consists of the head and chest of a rearing horse. The horse is brown with highlighting in black and gold. The head of the horse tilts to the left so that only one, black, eye is visible and features the mane curling to the left and a black bridle with green and red accents. The horse's neck bears a black collar featuring short purple tassels and long gold tassels and a green gem in the front, center of the collar. The hoof on the right side of the mark is raised above a purple banner with gold writing stating "THE HURDLER", while the hoof on the left of the mark is below the banner and overlaps a gold oval that surrounds the entire mark. The gold oval has five gold leaf designs outlined in black on each side of the horse. The bottom leaf on each side is partially covered by the purple banner which trails below the bottom most leaves in a curling design. The inside of the gold oval surrounding the horse is magenta and within the magenta section there are curlicue patterns in lighter magenta in the lower 2/3 of the oval and darker magenta in the top 1/3 of the oval.
