The mark consists of a seal that represents "Miami-Dade County Public Schools". On the upper half of the large, circular border are the words "MIAMI-DADE COUNTY". Immediately before the "M" of "MIAMI", there is a minuscule dot. Immediately after the "Y" of "COUNTY", follows another minuscule dot. On the lower half of the circular border are the words "PUBLIC SCHOOLS". The interior design of the seal is the image of the Book of Learning with a design of a planet with a ring above. Under the Book of Learning are the words" giving our students the world." The outermost border of the circle is a thin line. Immediately inside of the outermost border is a thicker border. Inside of the thicker border is a large, circular inner border with a circle which serves as the main interior of the seal.
