Description of Mark
The mark consists of a dog house having a dog lying inside the house, protruding from the door, and a cat perched on top of the dog house. The dog house has a red wood grain front, a gray wood grain side, and a dark gray roof. The upper left portion of the side of the house is darker than the lower right portion, with a diagonal defining an edge of a shadow caused by the roof. The underside of the left side of the roof is visible, and appears gray with horizontal black lines. The right side of the roof includes a white edge. The interior of the dog house is brown with vertical black lines. A brown wood grain sign appears at the top of the house, generally horizontal, but at a slight diagonal, rising from left to right. The sign includes "Pet Expo" in large white font, and "Pittsburgh" in smaller black font in the lower right corner. Each of the left and right ends of the sign include a split in the wood grain. The right end of the sign includes a concave cutout resembling a missing "knot," and the bottom right portion of the sign also includes a concave cutout resembling a missing "knot." The dog is brown with a black outline. Darker brown and lighter brown sections are used in various locations on the dog's body to create the appearance of fur. The dog's head, shoulders, and front legs protrude from the door. The dog's nose is black. The dog's eyes are round and white with black centers. The top half of the eyes are covered by brown eyelids. A single diagonal curved line on the left side and pair of diagonal curved lines on the outside simulate eyebrows. An ear extends downward from the head, in the vicinity of the right side (from the viewer's perspective) of the dog's head. The dog's legs are crossed in front, with the left leg being crossed over the right leg. A gold identification tag having the black letters "jd" appears below the dog's head. The tag has a black outline and a black line extending upward towards the dog's head. The mouth of the dog is curved upward to represent a smile. The cat is striped, with light gray and dark gray stripes. The cat's torso appears to be perched on the peak of the roof. One rear leg is visible folded up against the cat's body, includes a white paw, and also perched on the peak of the roof. The cat's tail includes a white tip, and appears to cover the top portion of the sign above the "xp" of "Expo." A pair of downwardly extending front legs are visible, with one front leg covering most of the other front leg, and with a pair of white paws against the right side of the roof. The cat's face is generally oval, with a pair of triangular ears protruding upward. The left half of the left ear (from the viewer's perspective) and inner central triangle of the right ear (from the viewer's perspective) are white. The eyes appear as black dots. The nose appears as a black upside down triangular outline. A smiling mouth extends down from the nose, in the form of a black line. The central portion of the cat's face around the mouth appears white. Three whiskers extend from the left side (from the viewer's perspective) of the cat's face, and two whiskers extend from the right side (from the viewer's perspective) of the cat's face. Black dots appear on the face in proximity to the whiskers. The outline of the cat and of the stripes is jagged to resemble fur.
