The mark consists of a compass formed by seven concentric rings surrounding an inner circle. The outermost ring is dark grey. The next ring is white with silver shading which simulates light reflecting of a silver case. The following rings are navy blue, grey blue, bright blue, grey blue, and black. The black ring outlines the inner dark blue circle. The compass needle is aligned vertically, and is composed of four triangles with a circle in the middle. The upper left and lower right triangles in the compass needle are light grey. The upper right and lower left triangles in the compass needle are a medium grey towards the center, becoming dark grey at the midpoint. The outer edges of the compass needle and the edges of the triangles are outlined in black. The circle at the midpoint of the compass needle consists of five concentric rings surrounding a white circle. From the outer edge to the inner, the rings are: dark grey, light grey, white, dark grey, and light grey. The compass rose is composed of triangles pointing to the east and west which form a smaller version of the compass needle, and four triangles which bisect the four quadrants formed by the needle and the triangles pointing to the east and west. All of these triangles are outlined in black. For the triangles pointing east and west, the triangles on the left have a medium to dark blue triangle on the top and a light blue fading to white triangle on the bottom; the triangles on the right have a light blue fading to white triangle on the top and a dark blue triangle on the bottom. The bisecting triangles are white on the left side and dark blue on the right side. The overall effect of the compass rose is to divide the compass into four quadrants, with the bisecting triangles pointing to four words which appear in white and are outlined in black: "CHARACTER" (in the upper left quadrant), "LEADERSHIP" (in the upper right quadrant), "FAITH" (in the lower right quadrant), and "CULTURE" (in the lower left quadrant). An elongated oval appears below the compass following the curvature of the compass. The extremities of the of the oval are dark blue, fading to a medium blue before returning to a dark blue in the center. The oval contains the words "PRINCIPLES TO LIVE & LEAD", which appear in white with a black border. The words "LODESTAR GUIDANCE" appear above the compass, following the curvature of the compass. The words "LODESTAR GUIDANCE" are outlined in black with the upper and lower portion of each letter appearing in navy blue, fading to a medium blue in the center. A yellow star with an orange center (outlined in navy blue) appears between the words "LODESTAR GUIDANCE".
