The mark consists of beginning on the left side near the top of the image, red letters form the words "Welcome to the Grid". Font selection varies from standard to customized stylized. The tail of the letter "d" of "Grid" extends sinuously to form an electrical cord at the end of which is a standard North American two-pronged electrical plug. The electrical cord and plug are the same red color as the letters. The electrical plug is pointed toward the right half of the page. On the right half of the page is an image of a single standard, three-pronged (two lines, one ground) North American 110 volt outlet. The two lines and ground are colored black and bordered by a faint white outline. The white outline is designed to depict the depression of the lines and ground into the faceplate of the outlet to present a three-dimensional representation. Superimposed on the face of the outlet, as a background element, is a map of the North American continent and the western edge of South America, which are to be replaced by other landmasses/continents as may be needed from time to time.
