The Duffy Board is a device used for securing a painting panel or stretched canvas by way of eight clips which are attached through strategically placed drilled holes which accommodate standard size canvases and panels of 6x8 through 12x18 inches. The Duffy Board mahl stick is used in conjunction with a velcro 5/8 inch strip which surrounds the Duffy Board at its outer four sides. The mahl stick also is velcro tipped so that it easily tacks and releases at any point on the Duffy Board's perimeter. The Duffy Board is gold in color to mimic a gold leaf frame which artist's use and the Duffy Board is inscribed all over with a thin black lined one inch grid which allows the artist while attaching the mahl stick to any point on the perimeter to draw or paint straight lines without smearing the wet paint below his or her hand. The Duffy Board it self is 15x18 1/2 inches and 1/2 inch thick and is made of a lightweight synthetic material similar to Homasote.
