The Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) is a department of the City of Los Angeles that functions as a neighborhood developer integrating housing programs and community and family services delivery to build sustainable communities. Building upon its legacy of public sector entrepreneurship, HCIDLA will expand the City of Los Angeles' impact in LA neighborhoods by aligning and integrating housing, community and economic investments, transportation, schools, parks and healthcare opportunities to improve access and livability through place-based strategies

The Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) provides housing services to residents of the City of Los Angeles. HCIDLA provides public assistance and education for city rent stabilization, landlord/tenant issues, fair housing law, home ownership programs, housing redevelopment, and rental unit inspection.
