The mark consists of rectangular label design. The top two-thirds of the label is set against a simulated ivory parchment background with faint tan script writing. There is a diagonal green sash stemming from the top left to the lower right of the parchment portion. There is a gold line running on the top and bottom of the sash. Centered in the middle of the mark, overlaying the parchment and banner, is a gold shield which displays a stylized tan drawing of a wild boar with bones gripped in its mouth and a mane in between its ears, all leaning on a piece of furled cloth. Centered beneath the medal is the stacked brown lettering, "AGED", "IN OAK A", "MINUMUM OF", "12", "YEARS", all in capital font. The lower third of the mark is set against a Tartan plaid design in red and green with white lines interspersed throughout the plaid. At the top of the plaid portion is the wording "CLAN" appearing above the "CKIN" of "MACKINNON" in stylized font at the top of the mark. Below "MACKINNON" is the wording "BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY" in script appearing over the wording "BLENDED & BOTTLED IN SCOTLAND", which is in all capital letters. Below the word "BLENDED" in "BLENDED & BOTTLED" is the wording "40% ALC. BY VOL.". Below the word "SCOTLAND" is the wording "NET CONT. 750ML". All of the wording appears in gold.
