The mark consists of the word "POTOMAC" in blue capital letters in Hoefler Text Engraved font, the word "SHORES" in red capital letters in Hoefler Text Bold font directly underneath the word "POTOMAC". Directly underneath such words, a shield shape colored with (i) a thick, horizontal blue stripe across the top with six white stars across the top of the blue stripe and four white stars across the bottom of the blue stripe, and (ii) underneath the blue stripe, alternating white and red stripes that are vertical and thinner than the blue stripe. On either side of the shield shape, one blue star, although, if the mark is placed on a dark backgroung, such stars would be changed to white.
