The mark consists of a three-dimensional configuration of a bottle with the wording "Ao" printed on the front of the bottle in large letters, with the wording "VODKA DISTILLED FROM JAPANESE RICE" in smaller letters printed thereunder, and with "SUNTORY" in smaller letters printed thereunder, with a rectangular ribbon affixed from the neck of the bottle on the back side, across the top of the cap, and down to the neck of the bottle on the front side, the said ribbon bearing the wording "Ao" in small letters at the neck of the bottle, and with a Japanese kanji character printed on the back of the bottle facing the front and partially visible through the front. The three-dimensional nature of the mark is claimed as a feature of the mark. The shape of the bottle and the bottle cap are depicted in dotted lines to show the positioning of the elements of the mark and are not claimed as features of the mark.
