The mark consists of an outer black circle. The stylized text inside this black circle is "Kaizen" at top of circle and "Continual Improvement at bottom of circle. There is another inner circle which is red rimmed in black. Inside this red circle is what's known as a hidari gomon. It is a 3-pronged blade often used in martial arts schools. The hidari gomon is black in color. On top of this are Chinese characters in white that are read "Kaizen" in Japanese. Near the top of the inner circle is a stylized white star within a small blue circle. To the left of this are red and white stripes. This represents the United States of America. On the right side of the hidari gomon is a small red circle. This represents Japan. On the left side of the hidari gomon is a small red circle inside another red circle which represents Okinawa.
